Start pages
The Start page is the main page of the GOV.GR service. Through it, it is possible to navigate to subsequent services or pages of GOV.GR. Use this pattern to test a start page in your prototype.
Note: In some cases the height of the content is smaller than the height of the viewport especially in desktop screens. As a result, the footer of the page will stick to the middle of the screen which is not ideal for the user experience. To fix that, you can use the
.govgr-layout-wrapper__full-height
CSS utility class combined with .govgr-layout-wrapper
.
When to use this pattern
If your service is in public beta or live, you must have a starting point hosted on GOV.GR. This will link your service to the rest of GOV.GR.
How it works
Start pages include 4 main elements:
- The service name: Service name is the main title of the start page and it is placed at the top of the page. This should help people understand what your service does and whether they need to use it.
- Description: A short introduction to explain things that most users will need to know.
- Button: The ‘Start now’ call-to-action button.
- Related Links: Links which navigate to relevant links such as FAQ questions, open pdf files etc.
